Challenges We Faced
- Delivering a user experience suitable for seniors:
Many retirees may not be familiar with digital applications, so we needed to create a simple and accessible interface without compromising service quality. - Managing diverse and extensive services:
The app covers multiple categories (utility, entertainment, health, social, volunteering…), which required careful organization to avoid overwhelming users. - Lack of local benchmarks or similar models:
With no local equivalent, the project had to be built from scratch, based entirely on research and understanding of the target audience’s needs. - Balancing simplicity with professionalism in design:
The design needed to feature clear layouts, large buttons, and readable fonts, while maintaining a modern and professional look. - Addressing psychological challenges of retirees:
Many retirees face feelings of isolation or lack of purpose. It was important to design an app that fosters engagement, positivity, and social inclusion. - Ensuring security and privacy while keeping it simple:
User data had to remain secure, while registration and login needed to be straightforward and not burdensome
Solutions Implemented

We used large buttons, comfortable colors, and easy-to-read fonts, minimizing steps required to complete tasks. - Organizing services into clear main categories:
Ten main categories were featured on the home screen, giving retirees direct access without searching extensively. - Step-by-step process for all actions:
From registration to booking, donating, or social participation, all workflows were broken down into clear, consecutive steps. - Features that encourage engagement and community:
Added services such as “Retiree-to-Retiree” requests, social sharing, and volunteer opportunities to build belonging and inclusion. - Customized notification and reminder system:
Designed clear reminders for appointments, services, and activities—delivered via app notifications and email. - Admin dashboard integration:
Developed a management system to help administrators oversee requests, monitor user activities, and update content regularly
Visual and typograpy hierarchy
We implemented a clear visual and typography hierarchy to enhance readability and highlight key academic messages. By using consistent colors, font sizes, and structured layouts, we ensured that the university’s identity is reflected with both professionalism and clarity
